    There will be no trash or recycling picked up on Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1 due to the Christmas and New Year's holiday.
    Trash and recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, December 26 and Wednesday, January 2.

    South Lyon City Hall will be closed for the following holidays:
    Monday, Dec. 24 - Christmas Eve
    Tuesday, Dec. 25 - Christmas Day
    Monday, Dec. 31 - New Years Eve
    Tuesday, Jan. 1 - New Years Day

    City Hall will reopen at 8:30 am on January 2, 2019.

    FALL LEAF COLLECTION COMPLETE

    Thank you to the South Lyon DPW for another successful fall leaf collection. Yard waste pick up through GFL and DPW is now complete.
    If you have leaves to dispose of, The Stone Depot, 23423 Griswold Rd will take your bagged leaves, but you must bring them to their location.

    The Zoning Board of Appeals meets the third Thursday of the month (as needed).
    Residents are needed on this board to assist in review of applications from residents or businesses for variance of ordinances.

    Contractors for Comcast are currently working in City of South Lyon neighborhoods. Residents should receive a door tag notice when work is to start in their area. We are assured by Comcast that yards will be restored to original condition. Please contact the city with any questions or complaints.

    As part of a Girl Scout Gold Award project, local girl scouts will be placing markers on veterans graves in the South Lyon Cemetary on Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11 in preparation to lay wreathes on the graves for the upcoming holiday season.

    2018 Dog Licenses Now Available at City Hall

    Beginning June 2nd, people who have not purchased a current year dog license are considered delinquent.  The cost of all dog licenses will increase to $33.00. These fees are set by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners.

    Representatives of DTE Energy will soon be visiting the area to determine where trimming and, if necessary, removal of trees growing too close to power lines.  Affected residents will receive a letter in the mail from DTE.
